Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and are offered at a set time each week. The usual arrangement is to meet weekly, for either a stated limited period, or an open-ended length of time.
I offer both short term work (6 sessions) and open-ended work, so you can decide what suits you best. If you are not sure, then we can talk this through when we meet and arrangement something together.
My standard fee is £50 per session.
Concessions are available for students and those on low incomes- please contact me directly about this. You can pay by cash, cheque, bank transfer or by card. Please discuss with me the best way for you to arrangement payment.
If you would like to you can block-book sessions and pay for them upfront, or you can pay-as-you-go.
I work from a city centre location in CB4, just off Chesterton Road in north Cambridge.
All sessions will be confidential- this is a key part of the counselling process. If I think you are at risk of harming yourself or harming others, then I may need to widen confidentiality to get you the help and support that you need or to comply with current legislation. Wherever possible I will talk with you first if I think this might happen.
How to Book
The first session is a consultation where I will take some details about you and your current situation. We will also discuss what you want to get out of counselling and how it might help you. If we agree to work together then regular sessions will start after this initial session.
Ahead of our first meeting I will email more information about how to find me, parking (for bikes and cars), transport links and what to expect.
